Welcome to the Think Summit Recap

In my six years at Movable Ink, Think Summit has always been my annual highlight. Insightful presentations and noteworthy guests are the norm at Think Summit each year, making it a time to remember. But even though the bar is set high, the 2023 edition of Think Summit was the best yet.

With clients from leading global brands—ESPN, Ulta Beauty, and Yahoo! Sports, to name a few—and groundbreaking market launch announcements, I’m thrilled to share the highlights that made this fantastic event more special than ever.

Powerful Presentations

At Movable Ink, we’re proud to be the engine that fuels personalization for the world’s most notable brands across businesses.

Take Ulta Beauty, for example. During her session, Liz Beer (Manager of Email Development & Innovation) shared how her team transformed their most popular email into an even more captivating experience. Using five Movable Ink APIs, the team created an engaging email that included a rotating subject line, a dynamic headline and store map, real-time product information, and a personalized loyalty dashboard. Using these tactics, the team drove a stellar 316% increase in click rates.

Mobile has been top of mind for Movable Ink in 2023, so it was especially exciting to hear from our clients at Synchrony along with our very own Shannon Cook (Director of New Channel Activation), on how the financial services brand has elevated their mobile customer experience.

Using a unique year-in-review campaign, Synchrony created a summary message that not only highlighted sales activities, but congratulated customers on key brand engagements. Additionally, Synchrony used deep linking within each listed activity, sending customers to other areas within the app for a cohesive in-app experience.

In the same way that marketers can learn cross-vertically, there’s much to learn from leaders in other industries. We were proud to host cultural contagion expert Dr. Marcus Collins, who discussed where brand marketing started and why community is key for the modern consumer.

Boxing champion and entrepreneur Laila Ali also made an appearance at Think Summit. During her fireside chat with the CEO of Movable Ink, Vivek Sharma, she shared how her upbringing helped her channel the "champion mindset," and how you can adapt that mentality both in and outside of the ring.

Through these speakers’ personal journeys and expertise, marketers got inspired as they envisioned their professional growth, both for their brands and personally.
